On July 21, the Klavier-Festival Ruhr selected the winners of the prize draw, initiated by the Ruhr Initiative Group in conjunction with Funke Mediengruppe, for free tickets to two concerts with Hélène Grimaud and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen on July 28 and 29 and for the duo concert with Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim on July 10 at the Essen Philharmonic. Ulrike Flott-Tönjes drew 150 lots for two tickets each in the presence of the moderator of the Ruhr Initiative Group Bernd Tönjes and Director Franz Xaver Ohnesorg, warmly congratulating the recipients: "I am very happy for the 300 ticket winners, who can now look forward to three fantastic evenings."
Bernd Tönjes, the moderator of the initiative group, added: "It is a tribute to Duisport, our long-term member in the initiative group, that it is willing, as the main sponsor of the 2016 Klavier-Festival Ruhr, to make such a generous gesture on the occasion of its company anniversary."
A total of 3,000 participants had contended for the two times 150 entrance tickets.
The winners of the prize draw will be informed during the next few days.
