Direct train Euromax Terminal Rotterdam – DeCeTe Duisburg
As of the 11th of March 2014, the inland terminal DeCeTe Duisburg will have a direct rail connection with the Euromax Terminal Rotterdam. Three times a week, the daily Betuwe Express between DeCeTe and the ECT Delta Terminal will continue on to this deepsea terminal at the Maasvlakte. Companies whose containers are unloaded and loaded at the Euromax Terminal can thus benefit from even faster and more reliable transit times between Rotterdam and Germany’s Ruhr Area. The Euromax Terminal among others handles ships of the deepsea shipping lines Cosco, “K” Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin, China Shipping and United Arab.
Short transit times
Early every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, companies in the Ruhr Area can have the containers at their disposal which departed from the Euromax Terminal on the Betuwe Express the previous afternoon. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the train from Duisburg next arrives back at the Euromax with export cargo. On all other weekdays, the Betuwe Express connects DeCeTe with the ECT Delta Terminal and vice versa. In addition, the terminals at the Maasvlakte are connected daily with DeCeTe by barge.
European Gateway Services
The new direct rail connection between the Euromax Terminal and DeCeTe is part of the ever-expanding range of services European Gateway Services offers to shipping lines, logistics service providers and shippers. The network of European Gateway Services currently already comprises approximately twenty inland terminals which are connected with the port of Rotterdam through highly frequent rail and barge services.
